Makassar, June 25, 2025 — The Peace, Conflict and Democracy Research Group (TRG) held an online meeting on Wednesday evening, June 25, 2025. This meeting marked the final stage of revising the research instruments and focused on preparing for the upcoming field trial of the questionnaire.
Two key decisions were made during the session:
- Questionnaire Trial Period
The team agreed to conduct a trial of the questionnaire from Thursday, June 26 to Sunday, June 29, 2025. The purpose of this trial is to identify any weaknesses or ambiguities in the questions and structure of the instrument before it is used in full-scale data collection. The findings from this process will inform the final revisions of the instrument. - Follow-up Meeting on Trial Results
A follow-up meeting to discuss the results of the questionnaire trial is tentatively scheduled for Monday, June 30, 2025. The final timing will depend on the availability of all team members. This evaluation meeting is considered crucial to ensure that the instrument is fully refined and ready for use in the main data collection phase.
With the revision phase nearly complete and the trial underway, TRG continues to demonstrate its commitment to research quality. These steps are essential to ensure that the data collected will be valid, relevant, and insightful—supporting the group’s larger aim of analyzing conflict dynamics and the role of local actors in peacebuilding.
