About Us
Peace, Conflict, and Democracy Research Group was formed to encourage research related to peace, conflict, and democracy studies. The team's grand vision is to produce an applicable policy model or guide, both in Indonesia's social, political, and governmental contexts, not only as a local reference but also potentially adapted in the Southeast Asian region and even on a global scale. We aspire to realize a just socio- political order that upholds the principles of human rights. The strength of this team lies in multidisciplinary collaboration, where each researcher brings specific expertise from sociology, psychology, public administration, international relations, and political science to government. This diversity of backgrounds allows for a comprehensive approach, where findings from each discipline complement each other to formulate holistic solutions to contemporary challenges.
Mission
- To initiate and develop interdisciplinary research on peace dynamics, conflict resolution, and democratic strengthening through a multidisciplinary approach (sociology, psychology, public administration, political science, and governance).
- To formulate practical, evidence-based policy recommendation s that are relevant to Indonesia’s local context and adaptable to global challenges, particularly in advancing social justice and human rights (HR).
- To strengthen collaboration with stakeholders (go vernment, non- governmental institutions, academics, and civil society) to promote the implementation of research findings in socio- political governance practices.
- To advance education and knowledge dissemination thr ough scientific publications, discussion forums, and training programs to enhance public awareness of peace, democracy, and conflict prevention.
- To bridge the gap between theory and practice by integrating research outcomes into innovative policy models responsive to socio-political changes at national and international levels.
The Aim

Through collaborative innovation, the group seeks to empower institutions and communities with tools to foster inclusive governance, mitigate conflict, and strengthen democratic resilience, ultimately contributing to a world where equitable socio-political systems uphold human rights and equity principles.
