The Master of Science in Management Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Hasanuddin University, has achieved a historic milestone by obtaining two prestigious accreditations simultaneously.
These are the national “Unggul” (Excellent) accreditation from LAMEMBA and international accreditation from the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA), Germany.
Prof. Dr. Abdul Razak Munir, SE, M.Si., M.Mktg., Head of the Master of Science in Management Program, expressed his gratitude for this remarkable achievement.
“The Unggul accreditation from LAMEMBA and the international recognition from FIBAA further strengthen the position of Hasanuddin University’s Master of Science in Management Program as one of the leading programs in Indonesia, fully prepared to compete on a global stage,” he stated in Makassar, Thursday (August 28, 2025).

Based on LAMEMBA Decree No. 2664/DE/A.5/AR.10/VIII/2025, the program has been accredited Unggul for five years, from August 25, 2025, to August 25, 2030.
This recognition affirms that the program’s educational management, curriculum, faculty, and student services are delivered at the highest national standards in the fields of economics, management, business, and accounting.
In addition, the program has earned international recognition from FIBAA, an accreditation agency based in Bonn, Germany, widely recognized across Europe as a quality assurance body in higher education for management, economics, law, and social sciences.

Following FIBAA’s resolution on November 27, 2024, the Master of Science in Management Program at Hasanuddin University received the FIBAA Quality Seal, valid until November 26, 2029.
The Meaning of FIBAA Accreditation
Accreditation from FIBAA is more than an administrative recognition—it is a global academic validation. This certification demonstrates that the program’s curriculum meets international standards in terms of content relevance, teaching methods, faculty quality, and alignment with the global job market.
FIBAA places special emphasis on learning outcomes, teaching innovation, and graduate readiness to face international challenges. By earning the FIBAA seal, the program is considered on par with leading European universities that hold the same accreditation.
This dual achievement further enhances Hasanuddin University’s reputation as a globally competitive research university. With both national Unggul accreditation and FIBAA certification, Unhas is better positioned to foster international collaborations, including student exchanges, joint research, and double degree programs.
Furthermore, this recognition strengthens the program’s attractiveness for international students seeking to pursue higher education in Eastern Indonesia.
“This is part of Unhas’ greater vision to become a center of excellence rooted in the Indonesian Maritime Continent. We want Makassar to be known not only as a trade hub but also as a world-class higher education hub,” Prof. Razak added.
Unhas on the Global Stage
Hasanuddin University continues to affirm its commitment to advancing academic quality, research excellence, and meaningful contributions to national development.
Through various international accreditations such as FIBAA, Unhas positions itself as part of a global network of leading universities that prioritize quality and relevance.
Closing his statement, Prof. Abdul Razak expressed his hope that this achievement serves as a driving force for continuous improvement.
“Accreditation is not the finish line but a starting point to work even harder. We hope that the Master of Science in Management Program at Unhas will continue to grow, produce impactful research, and graduate individuals who are not only nationally competitive but also capable of becoming leaders on the global stage,” he concluded.
