About Geotechnical
Welcome
The Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Research Group is reshaping the future by addressing geotechnical and geoenvironmental problems posed by the local and global impacts of climate change and human activities and by developing innovative geotechnical problem-solving solutions. The Research Group research covers issues related to problematic soils, contaminated soils, foundation structural engineering, land reclamation, slope stability, waste disposal, and seismic disasters. It also looks at how environmental factors affect the effectiveness of underground distribution systems. The geo-environmental agenda is becoming increasingly important around the world due to the increasing impact of climate change. Our broad scope of activities and multidisciplinary knowledge make us well-positioned to contribute significantly to creating workable solutions to geotechnical problems.
