Welcoming 2025: Master’s Program in Governmental Studies Strengthens Collaboration and Research Networks

Entering the new year of 2025, the Master’s Program in Governmental Studies at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Hasanuddin University, reaffirms its commitment to strengthening institutional collaboration and academic networking. This strategic focus aims to enhance the quality of research, promote knowledge exchange, and amplify the program’s impact on public governance.

In an official statement, the Program Coordinator emphasized that collaboration across institutions is not only an academic necessity but also a vital strategy to address the complex challenges of contemporary governance. “We continue to build strategic partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, and research institutions—both nationally and internationally—to foster knowledge exchange and improve the relevance of our research,” the Coordinator stated.

Throughout 2024, the program actively organized scholarly discussions, policy seminars, and national conferences, while also taking part in various international academic forums. These initiatives will be further expanded in 2025 through joint research, inter-university cooperation, and global research networks.

In early 2025, the program is set to launch the Government Studies Dialogue Series, a regular academic forum designed to engage scholars, government practitioners, and graduate students in open discussions. This initiative seeks to become a space for intellectual exchange and policy-oriented knowledge production.

The program also encourages faculty members and students to publish in reputable academic journals and develop policy briefs as a form of real-world contribution to evidence-based policymaking. Through a collaborative and research-driven approach, the program aspires to address strategic governance issues at both local and national levels.
