Environmental Policy and Governance Research Group (EPG-RG) is a thematic research group under the auspices of the Department of Government Science (DGS), the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Hasanuddin University (Unhas). EPG is an institution with experience in research, community service, and advocacy on government, development, and political issues. EPG is present with the inspiring vision of being the “Center for Ecological-based Public Policy and Program in Local and Global Government.”
Mission
Our mission is to realize ecological-based public policies and government programs through research, analysis, and development of innovative solutions oriented towards environmental sustainability at local and global levels.
Aim
We aim to produce high-quality research in the field of ecological-based public policies, encourage collaboration between academics, practitioners, and stakeholders to formulate eco-friendly policies, develop community service programs that support the implementation of ecological-based public policies, identify and promote best practices in environmental governance in local and global governments, and contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals (SDGs) through public policies and government programs that are responsive to environmental challenges.
