On November 8, 2024, some faculty members and students from the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) by the invitation of Enhancement Health Eaging (EAGING) external collaborator, Prof. Noor Azah Abd. Aziz had a chance to visit and was involved in a Focus Group discussion of the post-stroke peer group at the Klinik Primer Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz (HCTM), Malaysia. This post-stroke peer group, called KEKASIH, received care from the Long Term Stroke Clinic of HCTM which is part of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Malaysia. In addition to regular treatment, KEKASIH members conducted monthly meetings at the clinic to support each other. During the UNHAS team visit which consisted of Dr. Andi Masyitha Irwan, EAGING’s Leader, and members, including Dr. Syahrul and Mrs. Wa Ode Nurisnah. During the FGD, Dr. Masyitha and team explored the post-stroke experience, the impact of the KEKASIH group for the post-stroke patients how they started to build this group and tips to maintain this very supportive group for post-stroke patients.
