About Us
Conflicts or disputes over natural resources often arise due to differences in perspectives, access, control, and methods of utilization. Resources such as forests, water, grasslands, mountains  and land are frequently become subjects for  contention due to varying needs and management approach among related groups involved. These conflicts also emerge when certain interests of particular groups are overlooked in policies, programs, or projects related to natural resources.
Such disputes are an inherent part of societal dynamics and become daily phenomenon in extractive industries. However, in recent years, the scale and intensity of natural resource conflicts have been significantly  increased. If they are not properly addressed, these conflicts can escalate into disruptive environmental degradation, physical violence, projects delay, and harming the livelihoods of communities.
Therefore, recognizing conflict in extractive industries has become mandatory and necessary aspect to exploit natural resources in sustainable manner. By doing so, applying basic principles of Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) along with Good Corporate Governance (GCG) conduct of conduct is a must. Through these principles, natural resources management will not only oriented towards corporate profit but also for the sake of people’s welfare and the planetary health.
