Participation in the 9th International Conference and Guiding International Partners with Discussions on Future Pain Management Research

Pardubice, Czech Republic – On 15–16 April 2026, participation in the 9th International Conference marked a significant milestone in advancing academic engagement and international collaboration in the field of health promotion and nursing. The conference brought together approximately 100 participants from various countries, including academics, healthcare professionals, and students, creating a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and professional development.

The primary objective of this activity was to attend an international conference to enhance academic and professional knowledge, particularly in health promotion and nursing sciences. In addition, the event served as a platform to engage in meaningful discussions with international partners regarding future collaborative research, especially in the area of pain management. Pain management remains a critical issue in global health, requiring interdisciplinary approaches and continuous innovation to improve patient outcomes.

A key aspect of this participation was providing guidance and assistance to international partners throughout the conference. This guiding role ensured smooth coordination, effective communication, and a more inclusive experience for all attendees. The presence of many students from several countries, with most participants from the University of Pardubice, further enriched the academic atmosphere, allowing for cross-cultural learning and the exchange of diverse perspectives.

Collaboration with the Faculty of Health Studies, University of Pardubice, including Assoc. Prof. Petra Mandysova, RN, MSN, PhD, an expert in pain management, played a crucial role in deepening discussions on future research directions. Alongside other international academic participants, these interactions opened opportunities for joint research initiatives, knowledge sharing, and long-term institutional partnerships.

This activity strongly aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In particular, it supports SDG 4: Quality Education by promoting lifelong learning and international academic exchange. It also contributes to SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by strengthening collaboration between global institutions and fostering research partnerships. Furthermore, it reflects the values of SDG 1: No Poverty, as improving healthcare knowledge and access especially in pain management can contribute to reducing health disparities that often disproportionately affect vulnerable populations.

Through this conference, participants not only expanded their professional networks but also reinforced their commitment to advancing healthcare practices through research and collaboration. The integration of academic knowledge, practical guidance, and international partnership highlights the importance of collective efforts in addressing global health challenges.

In conclusion, this activity exemplifies how international conferences can serve as a powerful platform for knowledge enhancement, collaborative research development, and global partnership building. By aligning with key SDGs and fostering meaningful connections, such initiatives contribute to improving the quality of healthcare and promoting sustainable development worldwide.
