MarSplan Research Group

Welcome to our Research Group

The Marine Spatial Planning Research Group (MarSPlan) focuses on advancing sustainable and integrated approaches to managing marine and coastal resources. Recognizing the complexities of balancing ecological conservation with socio-economic development, MarSPlan dedicates itself to innovative research, employing tools like Geographic Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing, and oceanographic modeling. This multidisciplinary group integrates ecological, oceanographic, and socio-economic data to support decision-making processes that address critical issues, such as climate change impacts, habitat conservation, and sustainable fisheries management
