LPPM Unhas Facilitates Website Development for TRG Maritime Anthropology Research Group (MARG) Batch 9 to Enhance Dissemination of Research Excellence

Makassar, April 30, 2025 – The Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of Universitas Hasanuddin reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the research capacity of faculty members and research groups by organizing a technical assistance session on website development for the 9th batch of Research Group Teams (TRG). The event was held on April 30, 2025, at the LPPM Hall Meeting Room, Universitas Hasanuddin.

This activity is part of LPPM Unhas’ strategic efforts to enhance the visibility and dissemination of cross-disciplinary research outputs developed by academic communities within the TRG framework. During the session, participants received practical guidance on content planning, website navigation structure, researcher profile integration, and digital management of research updates and publications.

In his opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Suharman Hamzah, Ph.D., Secretary of LPPM Unhas, stated: “A website is the primary showcase for a research group in the digital era. A well-maintained and active site not only strengthens national visibility, but also opens opportunities for broader international collaboration—including enabling students from various countries to find research supervisors aligned with their field of interest.”

The session was attended by representatives from TRG Batch 9, spanning various disciplines such as social sciences and humanities, health, engineering, agriculture, and maritime studies. One of the participants, Dr. Ahmad Ismail, M.Si. from the Maritime Anthropology Research Group (MARG), remarked that the training is highly strategic for enhancing public engagement with research through accessible digital media platforms.

The technical material was delivered by LPPM’s web development team, who provided a hands-on simulation for building websites using open-source platforms, along with sessions on managing content derived from both research and community service activities. Additionally, participants were encouraged to draft a digital roadmap and branding strategy tailored to their respective research groups.

This initiative is expected to result not only in the creation of active and informative TRG websites but also in strengthening Universitas Hasanuddin’s institutional reputation within both national and global research ecosystems.
