Porang, a highly endemic crop plant in Indonesia, has been underutilized despite its high economic value. The study aims to explore the diversity of Amorphophallus spp plant germplasm in the Wallacea Region through inventory, identification, and morpho-physiological and molecular characterization using ISSR markers. The research will involve surveying, inventory, sampling of local porang plant tubers and bulbils, in-vitro propagation, replanting porang tuber samples, and analyzing morphological, physiological, and molecular data. The findings will provide insights into the genus’s phenotypic plasticity, genetic structure, and diversity, as well as understanding its habitat, growth, and development requirements.
