MARTEC is an international conference organized biennially since 1998 based on a regional network and cooperation between marine technology academia and industries. The 14th International Conference on Marine Technology 2024 (MARTEC 2024) was hosted by University of Technology Malaysia (UTM) in Johor Bahru Malaysia on 24 – 26 September 2024. The topics to be discussed during the conference consisted of ship design and ship building, resistance and propulsion, sea keeping and maneuvering, marine structures and material, marine hydrodynamic and CFD, ocean and offshore engineerng, marine engineering, port and harbour engineering, envirnmental protection, maritime education and training, maritime regulation and policies, fluid mechanics and heat transfer, ocean renewable energy, reliability and safety engineering, marine economics and management.
We take part in this conference as the member of International Committee as well as to present a paper in tittle “Overthrowing Phenomena of Vehicle on an Indonesian Ro-Ro Ferry due to Lateral Acceleration in Beam Seas”. We also became a chairman of one parallel session. The number of papers presented in this conference were 45 tittles from more than 10 institutions and 6 countries. The 15th MARTECT will be held in Hang Tuah University of Indonesia on 2026.
