I am a professor and head of Hydrometeorology Laboratory, Geophysics Dept. FMIPA Universitas Hasanuddin.
I work on modeling climate-based phenomena, with a focus on a wide range of topics, from tropical cyclones to infectious diseases. Rustan Lebe, a Conservation Archaeologist who works for the preservation efforts of the Prehistoric Caves of the Maros-Pangkep Karst Area, focusing on issues related of deterioration to cave rock art. Currently under the Indonesian Heritage Agency of the Indonesian Ministry of Culture, and current get job to manage the Fort Rotterdam Site, Leang-Leang Archaeological Park, and Leang Timpuseng.

Master's degree in Geophysics with expertise in modeling meteorological and geophysical data as well as environmental analysis using MATLAB, Python and ArcGIS. Experienced in cross-disciplinary research combining meteorological, spatial and marine biological data analysis, and committed to developing scientific solutions for the sustainability of marine ecosystems and mitigating the impacts of climate change.

From late nights in the meteorology lab to endless lines of code and data that refused to cooperate — this journey was never meant to be easy. As an undergraduate geophysics student, publishing in a Q1 journal once felt like something distant, almost unrealistic. But persistence has a way of reshaping limits. This work is more than just a publication. It is a reflection of discipline, curiosity, and the courage to stay consistent when results were uncertain. Every dataset analyzed, every error revised, and every discussion contributed to something meaningful. Grateful for the process, the pressure, and the progress. This is just the beginning.
