About BISA
Assalamu’alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.
Welcome to the official website of Biofilm and Superbug Research Team (BISA). This collaborative initiative between Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University and Erasmus MC Rotterdam represents our commitment to addressing one of the most pressing global health challenges: antimicrobial resistance (AMR) including the one related with biofilm-associated infections.
As we face the growing threat of superbugs, the importance of international collaboration cannot be overstated. Through this partnership, we aim to strengthen research, share expertise, and develop innovative strategies to combat AMR, particularly in Indonesia and, more specifically, in the city of Makassar. By working together, we can create impactful solutions that will not only benefit our local communities but also contribute to global health security.
We look forward to the continued success of this research collaboration and its contributions to the fight against antimicrobial resistance and biofilm-associated infections.
