Susceptibility of land mass movement can be caused by changes in land use from forest land to agricultural land in areas with slopes >15%. The results of research conducted over the past ten years show that changes in land use increase rainfall patterns that impact the soil physical characteristics, especially the micromorphological properties of the soil. The impact of advanced landslide disasters regionally has not been able to answer the decrease in susceptibility that has occurred. The mapping of landslide disaster events has not been able to be answered in detail, where many landslides occur not in areas with slopes >45%. So, landslides are still a phenomenon, and almost every incident has a triggering factor that is not yet known with certainty. Parameters often used in mapping landslides have not been able to answer why areas considered not susceptible to landslides become areas that experience the most landslides. This phenomenon could be answered with soil physics and micromorphology research.
