The Natural Fiber Technology Research Group (NaFTech RG) is an interdisciplinary research team dedicated to the exploration, development, and application of natural fibers in advanced materials. With the growing global demand for sustainable, eco-friendly, and high-performance materials, natural fibers have emerged as promising candidates to replace synthetic reinforcements in composite systems. NaFTech RG focuses on the full spectrum of natural fiber innovation—from raw material extraction, surface treatment, and characterization, to the development of fiber-based composites with enhanced mechanical, thermal, fire-resistant properties, etc. Our research also includes the design of fiber processing technologies that are efficient, scalable, and environmentally responsible.
