About LoSTAR

The Lobster Sustainable Fisheries and Aquaculture Research Group is dedicated to addressing the multifaceted challenges surrounding the sustainability of lobster fisheries. Our work is grounded in interdisciplinary research, integrating ecological, genetic, economic, and governance perspectives. Recognizing the increasing pressures from overfishing, habitat degradation, weak enforcement, and market-driven exploitation, our group strives to provide science-based solutions that support both conservation and sustainable utilization. By combining cutting-edge genetic research, habitat mapping, aquaculture innovation, and policy analysis, we aim to contribute to the long-term viability of lobster populations in Indonesia and beyond.
