Faculty of Law Unhas hosted the Public Lecture and Training of Photovoltaics: Socialization of Quality Infrastructure for Photovoltaic Systems in Indonesia on Thursday (7/11) at Baruga Prof. Dr. H. Baharuddin Lopa, S.H. FH Unhas and was attended by around 400 participants consisting of lecturers and students. This activity is a collaboration between Unhas and the National Standardization Agency and Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) which aims to equip participants with the latest knowledge and skills in the field of renewable energy technology, especially solar energy systems.
The event was officially opened by the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs Prof. Dr. drg. Muhammad Ruslin, M.Kes, Ph.D, Sp.BM (K). who in his speech said that this training is a concrete effort to support the increase in understanding of the academic and professional community regarding the use of renewable energy as a solution to environmental sustainability. Also present were Dean of FH Unhas Prof. Dr. Hamzah Halim, S.H., M.H., M.A.P., Deputy for Accreditation of the National Standardization Agency Wahyu Purbowasito Setyo W, Project Consultant on behalf of PTB Sandra Imelda, BRIN Principal Expert Engineer Dr.-ing. Oo Abdul Rosyid, M.Sc., Director of Planning and Development of Unhas Dr. M. Yahya, ST., M.Eng. and Lecturer of FISIP Unhas Suryanto, S.Sos., M.Si.
In this socialization and training, the participants were briefed on the basics of photovoltaics technology, the working principles of solar panels, the design and installation of photovoltaic systems, to economic and technical analysis for solar energy projects.
