Biogeography and Taxonomy Endemic Fishes Research Group (ENFISH) is dedicated to studying the diversity, taxonomy, and distribution of Indonesia’s unique endemic freshwater fishes. Our research focuses on species discovery, evolutionary relationships, and conservation strategies, with particular attention to distinctive ecosystems such as karst landscapes, lakes, and river basins. By combining classical taxonomy, molecular approaches, and ecological analyses, we aim to revise and clarify fish taxonomy, map biogeographic patterns, and provide a stronger scientific foundation for the protection and promotion of Indonesia’s rich ichthyofauna for future generations.
