About

About The Research Group

AlBioRG (Algal Biotechnology Research Group) focuses on innovative research in utilizing algae as a source of bioactive compounds with significant potential for applications in pharmaceuticals. Our research also explores algae’s therapeutic potential for treating diseases in humans, aquaculture organisms, and plants. In addition, we investigate algae as a valuable source of nutrition, enhancing human food, aquaculture feeds, and plant fertilizers. Algae are further explored in the field of nutraceuticals, providing health supplements that combine the benefits of both nutrition and pharmaceuticals to support the vitality of humans and fish. Moreover, algae serve as natural colorants for food products and ornamental fish. With a multidisciplinary approach and a commitment to sustainability, AlBioRG offers valuable research collaboration opportunities to advance marine biotechnology, fostering solutions for a healthier and more sustainable future.

Mission

AlBioRG mission is to pioneer the use of algae in biotechnological applications, particularly for human health, aquaculture, and agriculture. We are dedicated to advancing the development of algae-derived pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, and functional foods. Our goal is to foster innovation by exploring algae’s therapeutic benefits for disease treatment, including antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, anticancer, and antioxidant activities, while promoting sustainable nutrition, organic fertilizers, and eco-friendly solutions. We are committed to creating research-driven, real-world applications that contribute to healthier and more sustainable ecosystems.

AIM

The aim of AlBioRG is to investigate the vast bioactive potential of marine algae for transformative applications in various industries. We focus on developing algae-based solutions for disease prevention and treatment in humans, aquaculture, and agriculture, exploring their antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, anticancer, and antioxidant properties. Our research strives to generate impactful technologies that enhance health and vitality, support the aquaculture industry, and contribute to a more sustainable future for both human and environmental well-being.
