Welcome to the official website of the Animal Disease Dynamics Research Group (ADDIS). Our team is dedicated to advancing the field of infectious animal disease dynamics. We are delighted to have you here and excited to share our journey, discoveries, and innovations.
Our mission is to enhance understanding, prevention, and management of animal diseases through cutting-edge research in the field of infectious animal disease dynamics.
Our research focuses on examining the effects of diseases on animal populations, the pathways through which they are transmitted between animals and humans (zoonoses), and the factors that influence disease spread. Additionally, we investigate the host immune response to pathogens, including bacteria, viruses, and parasites, as well as the biological mechanisms by which these pathogens cause disease in animals. A critical aspect of our work involves utilizing animal models, which are vital for mimicking disease processes in both humans and animals. These models provide a controlled framework for studying complex disease mechanisms, facilitating a deeper understanding and contributing to advancements in scientific research.
