Welcome to our Research Group
The Spatial Epidemiology and Syndemic Research Group focuses on understanding the complex relationships between place, health outcomes, and social determinants of health. By integrating geographic information systems (GIS), spatial analysis, and epidemiological methods, the group investigates how environmental, social, and behavioral factors contribute to patterns of disease. Additionally, the group applies syndemic theory, which explores how multiple, co-occurring health issues interact and are shaped by social and structural inequalities.
