Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) play a critical role in economic development, contributing to job creation, innovation, and economic resilience. However, they face numerous challenges, such as limited access to finance, technology, and markets. SMERG aims to address these challenges through interdisciplinary research, capacity-building initiatives, and collaborative engagement with stakeholders. As a Thematic Research Group (TRG), SMERG will serve as a hub for excellence in SME-focused research and innovation.
