Research in regenerative dentistry is continually advancing to discover more effective and natural solutions for various oral diseases. One of the primary challenges is chronic inflammation associated with conditions such as periodontitis and gingivitis, which can lead to damage to periodontal tissues and alveolar bone. The Regenerative Dentistry Research Group focuses on exploring Stichopus hermanii, or golden sea cucumber, as a natural substance with significant potential in reducing inflammation and accelerating oral tissue regeneration. The bioactive compounds found in Stichopus hermanii, such as mucopolysaccharides, collagen, and glycosaminoglycans, are known for their anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and wound-healing properties, which support tissue regeneration.
