Welcome to Obesity and Child Nutrition Research Group (OCN-RG)

The Obesity and Child Nutrition Research Group (OC-Nutrition RG) is an interdisciplinary research group dedicated to generating rigorous scientific evidence to prevent childhood obesity and improve nutritional health among children in early childhood (0–5 years), school age (6–12 years), and early adolescence (12-14 years). We focus on these developmental stages because they represent sensitive periods during which dietary exposures, metabolic programming, behavioral patterning, and environmental influences shape long-term growth, adiposity development, and cardiometabolic risk trajectories into late adolescence and adulthood.
