About Medical Physics Research
Introduction
The research group on quality control and phantoms in medical physics focuses on developing techniques and tools to ensure accurate dosing and radiological imaging, as well as to guarantee radiation safety. This research involves the use of phantoms to consistently calibrate and evaluate equipment performance, thereby supporting more precise and reliable diagnoses. Additionally, this group separately develops light- based therapeutic procedures utilizing laser technology and silver nanoparticles/ nanomaterials in photodynamic therapy and as antimicrobials, with the potential to enhance the effectiveness of cancer and infection treatments through
light activation mechanisms and the antimicrobial properties of nanomaterials.
