Today, Monday, August 4, 2025, an insightful and strategic academic discussion titled “Collaborative Talk: Mastering Systematic Literature Review A Methodological Guide for Impactful Critical Appraisal in Administrative Science Research” was held at the Smartroom of Administrative Science Research from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM (WIB).
This event featured the keynote speaker Dr. Asiyah Kassim, Head of Postgraduate Studies Affairs at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia, and was moderated by Sri Nurindah Sari Arsyad, S.Sos, MAP, a Research Assistant at the Laboratory of Public Policy and Management.
The discussion provided an in-depth exploration of the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) from its fundamental concepts and academic significance to the methodologies of implementation using the PRISMA and ROSES frameworks. Dr. Asiyah emphasized that SLR is one of the key tools for postgraduate students in crafting scientific articles, theses, and dissertations.
“SLR is an essential methodology that is not just a one-time tool, but can be repeatedly utilized as a framework for scientific publications,” Dr. Asiyah remarked during her presentation.
This activity is part of the initiative of the Thematic Research Group (TRG) led by Prof. Gita Susanti, M.Si, in collaboration with Dr. Asiyah Kassim as an external researcher.
The objective of this event was to equip students and early career researchers with methodological understanding and skills necessary to produce high quality publications through a systematic, critical, and impactful SLR approach.
Using a hybrid format (offline & online), the event successfully reached participants from diverse academic backgrounds, particularly Master’s and Doctoral students, as well as lecturers preparing for scientific publication.
It is hoped that today’s discussion will serve as a valuable reference and a strong starting point for participants in crafting relevant, accurate, and high-quality publications in the field of administrative science.
