On Friday, June 27, 2025, a virtual meeting was held from 10:00 to 11:30 AM WITA via Microsoft Teams, involving the Thematic Research Group (TRG) of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Hasanuddin (UNHAS), led by Prof. Dr. Gita Susanti, M.Si, with Dr. Asiyah binti Kasim from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia as the external collaborator. The meeting aimed to initiate a collaborative research agenda focused on adaptive public organization.
The discussion addressed shared challenges in archipelagic areas, particularly in South Sulawesi (Indonesia) and Sabah (Malaysia), where local communities face unique governance issues. Both teams explored comparative research themes, fieldwork strategies, and reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring a meaningful and respectful research process.
This collaborative dialogue marks an important step toward academic exchange and strengthens TRG’s commitment to transnational research on inclusive and adaptive public organization models in maritime and island-based settings.
